All students should leave the classroom during recess and lunch hour unless asked to stay in the room by the teacher, and then only if an adult is present. Students being sent home from school shall report to the secretary who will determine whether or not parents are home.

When a child is detained after school for more than 15 minutes, the teacher should call the student's home, or send a note home with the child explaining the reason for the detention.

Homework is given at the teacher's discretion in grades one and two. Four times a week in grades three through six. Following absences due to illness, teachers may assign make-up work.
