On May 14th, Charlie Keyan Armenian Students were treated to a visit from Juliette Davtian, the founder and Editor of Gakavig Magazine. Gakavig is the only Armenian Children's Magazine in the United States. "Gakavig" means partridge (bird) in Armenian, it is modeled after the Highlights Magazine with topics ranging from science, environment, math, culture, language (eastern and western Armenian) and articles about character like patience and generosity. Gakavig takes a fun approach to learning with puzzles, and mind twisters to promote learning in children. What better way to learn while having fun?
